Instructions
For Points on a Number Line To enter a point on a line, enter a values of the form A where A is a positive or negative integer between -10 and +10.
For Points on an X-Y Plane: To enter a point on a plane, enter pairs of values of the form (A, B) (including parentheses) where A and B are positive and/or negative integers between -10 and +10.
For Equations: Please enter a math equation of the form Y=AX^2+BX+C where A, B, and C are positive and/or negative integers between -10 and +10.
We recommend you draw the graph (point or line) before you click on the button. Then compare your drawing against the displayed result.
Note: To perform graphing operations, the input must be of the proper form. If A, B, or C is 0, you may leave out its term (e.g. use Y=2X^2-3 or Y=4).
Finally, for graphs of solutions to equations , try entering equations of the form 0=AX^2+BX+C where A, B, and C are positive and/or negative integers between -10 and +10. Also experiment with leaving out terms such as the X^2 term. What is the meaning of your graph for any point or points which may be displayed?
