A Sample Analysis of Mathematical Content Standards


Our lesson plan includes some of the most common prerequisites and contributing elements to algebra readiness. It meets many elements of official mathematics standards. We include the following analysis of California Department of Education Mathematics "Content Standards" to illustrate this (see http://www.cde.ca.gov/standards/math/ for details.)

NOMENCLATURE: P = Prerequisite, C = Contributing, D = Direct (one or more elements)
Individual standards are classified accordingly.
For example, D-N1 = Direct support of Number Sense Standard Number 1.0 for respective grade.
